If you don't think our team is strong enough to compete in the Europa we may as well give up on the Champions League chase every year.

They need to make sure its not a one off

Spend a wedge and finish 5th a season later after Utd sort there crap out

Thats what I keep thinking. Then a little bird reminds me that the UEFA/TV would actually quite like them in the group stage.

But I am sure that thy wouldnt make it easier for them to qualify.

Their owners arent stupid Derek, they have spent 100m in the last 3 years alone, thats NET.
 
Personally I hope we qualify for Europe, that may sound silly, but it's what I hope.

As things stand right now there's the prospect of playing the likes of Wolfsburg, Moenchengladbach, Fiorentina, Inter, Socieded, Villarreal, Lille, Marseille, Lyon. Excites me enough.

If we get through the group stage we could play CL drop outs.
 
Well they've officially got fourth now and are very much in the title hunt, they have well and truly stepped it up this season and we cant even say it's undeserved either as they deserved it 100%. Its rather depressing isn't it.

Sometimes wonder why I bother with this sport knowing that nothing's ever gonna change long term with regard to us getting top 4

they'll be a bigger pull for the next decade without a doubt.

but they're going to have a mass exodus, moyes liked to build slowly in his time here, will be interesting to see what he does given a mass revamp of their team

if we bring the fa cup, i guarantee you won't be looking at this season as a sigh moment.
