Have I got this right: that kopite has got a couple of bets going with blues that Liverpool will finish above Everton...straight choice?

Talk about hard faced. That bet should be handicapped. Liverpool with a couple of points lead and a squad assembled for about £200m and ours assembled for about 10 bob. smilson, you should be ashamed of yourself. You need to agree to give those lads say a five point spread. If Liverpool. Finish five ahead of us then they pay up. If it's four or less then you do. at the very least you should be factoring in that present two point advantage you have right now.

Well they all seem to think they'll finish at least 6 points ahead of us so I'm sure he'll snap the hand off any Evertonian brave enough to take him up on that bet mate.

Am I right in thinking that you are asking me to give a better team with a better manager who play better football an advantage?

I think smilson's working a flanker here. Two points ahead with 14 games ahead with a feller who can't stop scoring and he's looking for a non-handicapped bet at this stage.

Pfffft!

Ground rules need to change for that bet our two lads have.

davek has a point or 5 tbh.

i don't doubt we have a better team, i just have experience of how everything turns out rosy for them, hence last tuesday was the best time for them to have to play that certain 6 pointer and so it showed.

we all know they will never have an injury list like ours, if one of suarez/ sturridge was out for the season, there's no doubt we'd finish well above them. if they had 11 first teamers not fit like we did at the start of the week, it wouldn't even be a debate.

...just go the bookies and you'll see what odds we are to finish above 'em, its certainly not even money.
