Very nice result that. "The mark of champions?"
Is that to cheat your way to a draw at home to mid table mediocrity? The media love in with them knows no bounds

wait did someone label that as the mark of champions?

i know some bellends who have been saying that this season so far, but champions grind out victories when not at their best, not rely on stoke to gift them 3 goals on a plate and still rely on cheating just to nick 3 points

he got his tactics abysmally wrong, if lucas wasn't fit then you sort of understand, but how can a team of mass wealth not have a backup? if he wasn't fit, he's changed from a system that has easily beaten all the bottom half at home, so why change?

do they have any home bankers left now?

Swansea
Sunderland

I know I'm labouring a point here, but it cant be said enough: people need to start seeing these fakes for what they are - a crap team with a disgusting rat who happens to be a top slotter.

Funnily enough, they say the same thing about us.

"Crap one man team, Lukaku carries them".

Then when they realise that Lukaku hasn't actually done much for ages:

"Crap team with lucky loan signings, will be back in mid-table once they leave. Btw, loans should be banned because they are unfair".

Then when they realise that Lukaku hasn't actually done much for ages, Deulofeu has played about 4 games for us and Barry is out of contract and will likely sign for us:

"Crap team, once Barkley goes they'll be mid-table again"

Quite funny when you think about it. It's like the circle of life, but for red****es.

They've been making a big deal of having played most of the top teams away already...they are kidding themselves. They'll face teams in the latter part of the season scrapping for their lives...and their run in is as tough as it gets in terms of playing top teams: four of the last seven against top 8 teams.

To be fair, 7th - 10th is about their level, they haven't played any of the top teams at home yet so that's helped them get a good points tally to date but they look like they're about ready to fall away now.

Suarez or not - there's a strong case to be made that we are the likely 4th place finishers and Liverpool will slug it out with Newcastle, United and Spurs for 5th, 6th, 7th. A good transfer window and good Derby result and I'll start to firmly believe it myself.

Sunderland and Swansea, the rest are going to be big tests though, and I don't think there's an easy game for them away from home simply because they struggle to control games.

When Gerrard scored the pen, the commentator Hawthorne, labelled it, "the mark of champions".

I know it shouldn't annoy me but it does: why are they spoken of as title challengers but we are "in the hunt for Europe?"
