Only the winners qualify. If they've already qualified then it goes to the 6th placed Premier League side.

There are three places in the UEFA Europa League available: the FA Cup winners will enter at the Group Stage; the fifth place team in the Barclays Premier League will enter at the Play-Off stage; and the Football League Cup winners will enter at the Q3 stage.
In the event the FA Cup winners are qualified for the UEFA Champions League the FA Cup runners-up will qualify, but in the place reserved for the lowest ranking Barclays Premier League representative. The place with direct access to the Group Stage will be given to the club that finishes in the highest position in the Barclays Premier League of the clubs qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.
English winners of the UEFA Europa League will enter at the Group Stage, gaining an extra domestic place only if they fail to qualify through other means for the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. If the holders of the UEFA Europa League have already qualified for Europe, no extra domestic place will be gained.
Should the FA Cup winners, runners-up (if applicable) and the Football League Cup winners already have qualified for Europe, their place goes to the next best placed clubs in the Premier League.
Fair Play winners enter at the Qualifying round 1 stage.
This place will automatically go the three best-placed national associations in the UEFA Respect fair play rankings provided they achieve an average of 8.0 points or more. The top three associations will then be entitled to enter the club that has either won their domestic top-division fair play competition, or if they are already qualified, the runners-up and so forth.

Seem like we can lose to just about any team now. This is not normal and some radical changes need to be done (transfers) or we're ****ed. Who the hell are we trying to fool anyway? Just get some quality in or accept having to look like idiots every other game. Any other big club would have made big changes right away. I mean, how long did it take Wenger to make changes after that defeat against us???
Did anyone else even react that much when we conceded? I was just like, "yep, standard". Not even angry or going mad at the TV or anything. Just an acceptance now that this is what we are
It's so sad that it's actually quite amusing now, I actually laughed at that goal.
It's soul destroying watching us play at the moment. Have we got a reaction in us for the second half? Moyes better summon a hairdryer of a team talk and get these players believing again. Losing another game with so little is unacceptable. We need to see some of the spirit we're famed for.
This can't be the same team I watched last season no way, Cleverley and Carrick actually played well together against good teams for at least 45 mins, ****ing useless pairing now.
I'm getting used to this. It's bad enough being completely awful going forward but to make the basic defensive errors we do is just becoming a joke.

Basically if City win, no change. If Man U win, and they end up top 4, no change. If Sunderland or West Ham win, or if Man U wins but finish below 6th it takes a Europa spot away and means only the team finishing 5th gets in...assuming a top four team wins the FA Cup as well. Same rules.

Nice one lads. So best result here would be sunderland win.. then city to smash them in final. Dont fancy moyes having chance to take a europa spot away. Coz I dont see them coming 4th. Hopefully it'll be ours but if not, would be good to get europa as low as 6th.
