Pedro is shown yellow for Barcelona after clattering Sergio Ramos with a high foot. Pepe, as is his want, decides to get involved with the referee and we have the first few signs that this match could boil over. Calm is restored for now though.

Well this is just silly now. These two always score - and this is terrible defending from a deflected Pedro cross as Pepe gets under the ball and leaves Lionel Messi with a tap-in from four yards out.

In the words of Leon Knight, this boy can really finish. Cristiano Ronaldo opens the scoring at the end of a superb passing move, Karim Benzema plays him in on the left of the area and Ronaldo thumps a shot past Victor Valdes at his near post. The keeper should have done better, and Barca trail.
