Today's football.

i think it was the correct decision. in modern football it was anyway, if someone did that to you in the street, there's no way you would have fallen over. if it was everton, i'd expect that to be a pen, then again i only saw a replay, it was just attrocious defending by an attrocious player.

'we'll also bring you some vintage gerrard from back in the day'
*Turns TV off and rants about how much the media love Liverpool*

How the **** was that decision 'very harsh' when gerrard pulled cabaye down when Newcastle were breaking away? what a load of bollocks BT sport is

haha i put mute on. surprised the ref gave the yellow seeing at it was gerrard. his reaction was pure bliss though, you could see him bottom lip trembling, he looked like he was going to cry but was laughing at the same time. couldn't think of a good excuse quick enough. Gerrard has been abysmal so far in this game btw

Needed them to draw or get beat today as well. Great run of fixtures coming up for them.

to be fair, the way their fixtures have been kind, it's going to be brilliant to watch them go from 2nd to about 8th between mid november until january. they're going to tumble massively.

Of course it was a penalty like, maybe not a red card though. It was only a few min's earlier when Nufc had a a corner and their players were being held in the area, and the 'commentators' were saying that the ref was right to 'leave the players to sort it out amongst themselves' ffs. Lol :)

Stupid beyond belief to put a hand anywhere near that sewer rat in the box. He is programmed to fall on the slightest of touches.

That ref couldn't wait to give it too.

Newcastle were the better team and now Liverpool have the three points all but in the bag. This is the year officialdom want Liverpool back in the Big Club bracket. They'll do everything they can to make it happen.

You'd like to think so. They have a horrific run in and a tricky festive period. If we keep within a few points of them until mid-March, I think we'll have no problem catching them tbh (injuries permitting).

Think they'll be alright until then though.
