Six year deal mate. Ferguson hand picked his successor, their is no way if Man U finish, say 3rd, Fergie will let them sack Moyes.

TBH I think they've paid him the respect he was due by picking the successor he wanted and giving him an honorary place on the board.

If those decisions he made go wrong he won't have a leg to stand on.

Moyes will get at best two years if things don't go to plan. A good start would have made that a lot less likely. You can't really say it has been so far. Two good signings will change that though IMO.

It's still early days. I'm willing to bet the United board don't care that much about pre-season results

Moyes first three games are really, really tough. Be p!ss funny if they don't win any. Saying that I wantthem to beat our lovable neighbours

Making judgements based on pre season is idiotic.

I'm pretty sure Moyes will fail badly there but lets not pretend we can tell whether or not he has until at least the first few competitive games have played.

The charity shield now takes on ridiculous significance he's already playing catch up with the OT tourists the fall back signings of Baines and Fellaini just leaves Utd followers ultra meh.

Thiago may be joined by Fabregas in giving Moyes the finger not to mention Rooney, if by some act of god Utd don't hammer Wigan the blue touch paper will have been lit and the example of Roy Hodgson will loom large.

The idea Utd fans will accept Moyes bottling under pressure (cos that's the REAL killer compared to SAF) is hilarious.

having at go at Moyes training methods re RVP

I read that interview in the Mail with Moyes talking about his extra physical training sessions. He said something like: the big players are testing you to see whether you're up to the job [in relation to imposing his sergeant major square bashing routines].

Embarrassing.

I'll give it 4 months.

A different interview he starts talking in the third person about "this is the David Moyes era and things will be done the David Moyes way." Looks like the fame has gone to his head already.

Another gem was: "I'm my own man and won't constantly be going on about Sir Alex Ferguson", then in the very next sentence he refers to SAF.

PS I bet this photo puts the ****s up United fans!

Gone are the coaches who dominated English football, won multiple Champions League trophies, born winners. In come this lot with not even a domestic cup to their name.
