Today's football.

I sometimes wonder at my Dad. I was 7, surrounded by Man Utd mates, it was 1992 and they were starting to get boss at football again and we were starting to be totally crap. Starting to get a grasp of what it means to support a football team, the old man throws an Everton shirt on me and tells me "this is your team son, and that's that". It's basically child abuse.

And a life sentence. Cheers pops.

I'm going to sound deluded but I don't like anyone winning titles other than Everton.

As people have pointed out its hard not to respect Ferguson for what he's done but still it doesn't sit right with me.

20ish years ago we had 9 titles and they had 7, such a shame we're not competing any more.

Very true

I'm not delighted they won and wasn't rooting for them per se

I respect them, but it ends at that

I want Everton to win everything (And want Hibs to win everything in Scotland)

Doesn't mean I won't root for another team in certain situations, but there's no emotional connection past wanting them to win that particular match

Will be rooting for Wigan on the 11th for example

I don't think any of us 'like' it mate. But if it can't be us then there's one or two we deffo don't want it to be.

Look at it another way 20 years ago we were ahead of them in titles won. One great man has changed it all. It we find ours it could be reversed in 20 years.

I honestly believe it could happen.

You never know what's around the corner look at City and Chelsea.

I just used to hated united fans just as much as the RS growing up, nouveau fans and club built around Murdochs sky empire.

Cant help but feel they got lucky in hitting the big time as football changed into what it is today.

They were a huge club before to be fair

Even during the barren years they were still probs the biggest club in the world based purely on support

They deffo did. It's still on the up now though. We could potentially have the world wide open for us with a bit of success and a change of owner.

As much as I am disgusted about Suarez biting.

But far more annoyed when it becomes the number one news item on Sky/BBC and gets in to the political debate when there is serious things happening in the world. News have gone hyper with it all. Yesterday should have been about the economic problems.

I enjoy watching the game but incidents like Suarez affair or what happened with Terry/Ferdinand and other things regarding football media goes looney with it all. Yes it should be a talking point but not to the extent of more serious news stories.

Unless Xavi and Iniesta play like gods as they sometimes decide to do, I think it'll be very similar to the first AC Milan game. Barca have no intensity at all at the moment, could easily crumble if they go behind.

Barca have looked really vulnerable this CL campaign. They do have enormous self belief and that's seen them through. I cant help feeling though that going to places like Munich you need your manager to keep things together. His absence will be a big factor if the going gets tough. This Bayern team have the armoury to bring Barca down in a big way..
