Yeah and teams can buy and sell players at their choosing, and they can drop players who aren't performing and even substitute them during a specific game to get really microscopic about it. It's human error with accountability, that isn't the case with a referee making a terrible decision that costs you a game.

And the referee body can promote, demote and drop referees at their choosing too.

It is tough to take when you drop points because of refereeing mistakes, perhaps if players didn't cheat so much, games would be easier to referee and we would see less mistakes

Very interesting decision in the Azerbaijan v Sweden game on Viaplay Xtra ( free).

Sweden 2 nil down. Olsen ( remember him ) with a brilliant quick throw releases Gykores who is one on one going into the box and brought down by defender. Female ref who's been excellent gives a pen and a yellow.
VAR say the foul was outside the box ( it starts outside but finishes inside ) and overrules her.
So, she gives a free kick on the line of the penalty box and changes the yellow to red for the defender.

I thought the double jeopardy rule only applies to goalkeepers?
