Another one who thinks that because they exist in the same country as the PL that they are entitled to some of the PL money.

The lower league clubs are in danger of becoming parasites dependent on handouts from the PL.
What a weird take. It's not as if Premier League clubs are parasites for taking the TV dollar, is it ?

Or, hear me out, let's FIX VAR.

Literally everyone knows what the problems are.

1) Make the offside rule make sense. No more one fingernail offside is offside. If the video can't show clear offside after 30 seconds, it's not offside.
2) Only have the ref go to the screen when an obvious foul was committed in the box. Not one of these he saw it live and called it good, then a 50/50 call gets overturned. Or worse. I'm thinking about calls like Keane's stepping on a toenail against Brighton a few years back - that's clearly not a penalty.

Even just addressing #1 will make 90% of peoples' issues with VAR go away. There are way too many offside calls that are borderline. The offside rule was never intended to be applied down to the inch. VAR is now trying to make that application.

You need to fix the users of VAR not VAR.

Semi automated from next year on should solve the offside issue.

It’s the decisions outside that that need fixing. And that goes directly to incompetence from the current referees, bias (whether conscious or unconscious), and ultimately the oversight. There’s no accountability.

You think VAR only intervenes for penalties???
No, but those are the ones that matter. Yellow to red, OK. And then when a goal is scored it goes to build up play fouls, which should go away.

It's not being used for deflctions, corners vs goal kicks, etc, etc. Only things that impact scoring, generally, like a pen, a build up play foul, or sending someone off
