Good game this on tnt2. Atalanta bologna. Both going for CL place. So weird looking at lookman as he's still only 26 but it feels like he played for Everton like 15 years or so ago.

I was lucky enough to go to the San siro last weekend and watched Ac Milan v Atalanta …. Lookman came on second half and looked really dangerous for 20 minutes until a decision went against him … he strutted around like a petulant child for the remainder of the game sulking

Just amuses me that people still try to have a go at a player better than every single one in our squad currently because he didn’t want to swallow some BS about earning your chance and watching wastes of space play instead. Frankly losing Lookman and Geri how we did is some of the worst work in a decade of horrible work.

And naturally he was crap, immature, whatever. This clubs support is such a mess these days. Not our fault, but man it’s rough to watch.

We were rescued by other teams again, not goods enough for Everton, what we have become. The acceptable standards are not high enough unless we want Championship football next season.

But TBF the other teams down there are also thinking the same thing.

And they were 2 of the problems. Both exceptionally good players on their day but unfortunately their day came for twenty minutes for about 5 games a season.

They were both hounded out because they couldn’t run marathons every game to track back and cover for full backs.

Well lots have the players they deserve playing on the wings now.

Wide players wouldn’t have to run marathons in our team if we hadn’t have been carrying slow dross like Davies Siggurdson Gomes Kenny Coleman Keane in key positions down the pitch.

Even now we’re sat so deep because Tarkowski can’t run.

We won’t compete with anyone until we can put out an 11 that has pace and power in every position. Everton seem to continuously want to carry at least one player who just can’t shift though and then the entire tactical approach is about covering that weakness.

It was the same under Ancelotti, we went to 4 CBs at the back because the second Digne ventured forward and Keane had to actually move from his 2 yard zone in the penalty area the entire defence just went to pot.
