City last week shows how ridiculous the 5 sub rule is. Just one of their subs was worth more than our entire team.

Their argument is that it is player welfare, as there is more flexibility when they're playing all these games. But, it's the squads regularly in Europe who can afford it.

Clubs like ourselves do not benefit even playing less games, as we can't afford a deep squad. If you want to play at the top level, you should cope with it.

I’d have that as an argument, however, more often than not these teams play the same starting eleven. It’s another rule they have had changed to gain yet another advantage over the majority of the league.
