They seem to have no comprehension of the different levels you have to jump in the PL. However hard this season is, the next 2 after will be harder yet, when the initial Euphoria of being in the league wears off.

We have had about 15 years of not finishing below 11th and generally being in the top 8. The idea they jump ahead of us is laughable. They will need to put 10 years worth of consistently finishing above where they are now currently to begin to compete to where we currently are.

I'd love them to get sucked into a relegations scrap (to quote Keegan).
I think they'll be too close for comfort but if we're being honest there are at least 5 teams clearly worse than them so the chances they actually go is low.

Nuno has a dream
That’s quickly becoming a nightmare
These Asian owners think they can come in , put a buisness model in place and throw a few quid at it and hey ho they will become champions
Villa Cardiff and now Wolves disprove the theory
Leicester owners who never shot their mouths off had much more success

The delusion of some Wolves fans originating from last season makes their latest run of poor form quite amusing. Here is their thread about Nuno potentially coming to us a year ago, with their views on the ambitions and outlook for both clubs:

Some good ones:

The thing is though, to our favourite Uncle we are that niece that is in her last year at school, with an offer from Cambridge , no longer has an acne problem, is fit healthy and athletic and is destined to get a high flying job. Everton on the other are that 2nd cousin that’s just hit 30, freshly divorced, 2 kids, carrying a bit of weight, no qualifications as she used to be a model and actress and is staring at a life of single motherhood in a 3 bedroom house being paid for by her ex husband. Who do you think Uncle Jorge will advise his 1st son to marry? Chill out, Nuno is here for the long term. He’s been given a free reign to do whatever he likes, he will have I’m sure an absolutely crazy transfer budget after promotion, and he’s onto something special here. Enjoy your trip to Barnsley Everton.

As we well know as Wolves fans......... the past counts for nothing and it's the here and now that counts in football. Right here and right now we are a far better "project" in every sense than Premier League relegation fodder and a team who are so disjointed, chaotic and in turmoil that only the most stupid egomaniac (cue Big Sam) would be confident of saving them. We are trading places with them this season.

----

Tbh if we can keep improving at the rate we are why is a top 8 finish next season out of the question? Outside of the 'big' 6 who would really frighten us - Bournemouth, Watford, Swansea, Everton - I don't think so.

Some more:

They are not some poxy team granted, but neither are we. This is Wolves a team who can take 50k+ fans to Wembley whilst in division 4! Ask someone in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s if they are bigger than us. I don’t think so. Granted they won the league a couple of times in the 80’s, but then Derby won it twice in the 70’s. We will overtake them soon and I don’t know why people are worried. Bar Sigurdarson, a fit Coleman and perhaps Keane and Pickford, not 1 of their players would get in our team. **** off Everton with your ****ty song from a **** tv show, I think a certain Mr Paul Lambert is more your level.

----

Fantastic response from our man. Looks like the interest was genuine, it was put to him like he has every right to hear and he's told them where to go. The Wolves are his club now, we're his project and he's not going to walk from that into a club in decline that may not even hang onto Prem status this season. There can't be many clubs in football that have an upward trajectory like Wolves do right now. Our potential is significant and our backing considerable and powerful, and its only just getting going. Who's going to walk from that to be moaned at by 30,000 scousers every other week? not Nuno thats for sure

----

It's a load of toss your not going to leave a club that is richer than Everton, and likely to be holding a trophy in June. Everton are **** let them drop. We'll be sitting in top six of PL next season the way we are going and any way there just a **** liverpool.

----

I firmly believe that Fosun intends to make Wolves a club that regularly plays in the Champions League; something Everton has never done. We are on our way to the very top.

Worth also pointing out that quite a few of them were saying how embarrassed they were at some of the comments. Especially as one or two of their fans came on this forum with a misplaced arrogance.

I still see them staying up comfortably, they may even get 10th or something, but will be no where near the top 8.

But they signed that Dendoncker lad from Belgium that was the bestest young midfielder in the world according to one lad on here

He hasn’t played a minute for a crap Wolves side
Apparently, they're now saying saying that he's not yet 'ready' for the 'pace and physicality' of the Premier League and as such will take longer to 'adapt'.

Or, he has been found out as he simply isn't as good as people made him out to be; only time will tell whether he'll disappear back off to Europe or not.

When we're talking about Wolves, wasn't Ruben Neves apparently good enough to walk into a top Premier League team, as well? Well...

Wolves are decent. The problem is that they have a little too much of Roberto’s Everton in them. And Jimenez is wank. Don’t let his stats fool you.
