Sterling getting the brunt of it from the rags again as usual. How DARE he take a penalty that had already be given when we’ll well known SAINT Robbie Fowler once tried to tell a ref that a penalty wasn’t a penalty that was given anyway. I am DISGUSTED.

Mad that Sterling’s getting blamed. The referee just isn’t doing his job properly. If one of our players were honest about that in a massive Champions League game, I’d be fuming at them

they're discussing it now on BBC, forgot osman did it v sunderland. Don't remember him getting the stick sterling is. I think it is the player's fualt here, you've got to own up and be a sportsman imo. The ref is obviously in the wrong because well, he's not even close to the defender, but as i've also read.

WHAT IS THE POINT IN THE EXTRA OFFICIALS?!!!! Surely they had a much clearer a view of it than even the ref?

Genuinely feel sorry for Sterling. The passive racist media agenda against him rolls on, fuelled by journalism's RS cheerleaders who can't get over the fact that he left them, became a better player and started winning big trophies

Who are we talking about here? Torres, Alonso, Mascherano, Arbeloa, Benayoun, Meireles, Sterling Suarez or Coutinho?

Actually, now that you mention it, none of the others came in for such a sustained campaign of abuse after leaving Liverpool. What is it about Sterling that's different from them? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I don’t know why they’re bitter about Sterling anyway because as Phil Thompson expertly said, Jordan Ibe is better than him.

It’s so obvious isn’t it? How dare a young black lad who is really good as his job get paid a comparable wage to others similarly good at the same job. How dare he then spend that money on things that aren’t actually expensive to him and then flaunt it in front of the paparazzi that stalk his every move. And how dare he want to win games in the most prestigious club competition in the world by tripping over and getting a penalty due to someone else’s incompetence.

I don't recall the outrage when the offside Wolves player but the ball in with his hand to deny us 3 points. I must have imagined the sly smile on Milner's face when Sane scored against Liverpool, because Honest Jimmy must surely have immediately told the ref it was him who passed to Sane so the goal couldn't have been offside.
