Hand the title to City now. Chelsea will possibly run them closer than the chase they got last season, but that's about it.

City by 10 points come May.

It’s only still a contest this season thanks to Mahrez’s miss, and favourable refereeing for murder inc at Palace and Huddersfield with decisions going against City in their games against Wolves and Liverpool. Liverpool could easily be looking at a 6 point gap or so already and no one could complain. Quite simply City and Chelsea play far better football. Some home refereeing and poor opposition finishing are keeping Klopp’s kick and rush crew hanging in there just about.

If VAR comes in Liverpool can pretty much forget title "chases" until they get a City-type owner.

...it’s folly to write the Reds off, although it’s a bit early to suggest the title is a two horse race.

The Champions League could be key. 3 of last years semi-finalist were nowhere near in the running for their domestic titles. If City or the Reds are involved at the business end of the Champions League it could be detrimental to their title chances.

I must say.. it's been very reassuring that City don't appear to have regressed any since last year - they are proper, proper quality team.

Things could obviously still change like, primarily dictated by how far certain teams end up going in the CL, but it's hard to look past them winning the league comfortably again despite the reds' 'best start ever' thing.

..that may describe most of the teams he’s played for. This is clearly an emotive subject and something he feels very strongly about.
I heard the reason for it today mentioned on the radio, it's understandable tbf. It's because of bloody sunday and family members and also the fact he grew up on the estate where it happened.

Expecting someone to wear an emblem commemorating people who were responsible for killing members of the community in which they live is a bit ridiculous. Not to mention the hassle it would cause to his family and friends.

This should have been kept to only commemorating people who died in the two world wars as it used to be, thus avoiding this controversy which keeps recurring every year. And it should not be effectively compulsory which it now seems to be.

As someone who does wear one I would still defend anyone's right not to wear one if they don't want to. We live in a free country. And that's freedom of speech.

I don't like the poppy brigade who get on their high horse if someone on the telly doesn't wear one. But nor do I have any time for those who castigate people for wearing one and make daft claims that it shows support of war and bloodshed. People should be free to make their own choice.
