Someone photoshop Mr Miagi in heaven and Suarez saying "id I do good boss". I'd do it myself but just thought of it now and have work.

And give me credit!!!

....3-0 is a tremendous result but i’m still as nervous as kittens about the 2nd leg. The Reds could blow them away and I fear Barcelona will need at least one goal to go through.

I actually hope the defeat has the desired affect on the Newcastle game. The Reds can’t ease up and rest players for that.

It's such a shame Dembele cocked up that chance at the end for 4-0 but 3-0 and no away goals conceded is nevertheless a great result. If Barca score once at Mordor then Liverpool will need 5 to go through.

They are the luckiest team in the history of football and I've learned painful lessons about celebrating too soon when it comes to them but Barca, surely, will not make the same mistakes they made in Rome last season when they threw away a big lead.

Roma did also score an away goal in that tie as well which contributed enormously to their fight back, the RS don't have that trump card.

The only team they've blown away in recent games is Huddersfield. I understand why you would say it but I think it's unlikely. To my mind it's the perfect result. That slight bit of hope means they won't have all their hopes pinned on the league, meaning they may lose focus against Newcastle and end up with nothing. This season for them is beginning to remind me of us in 1986.

The tie isn't completely dead yet of course. But if you'd offered 2 nil before the game, nevermind 3 nil, I'd have bitten your hand off. Not getting the away goal is massive.

If Barca score it's over. And you'd always expect them to score.

Its all over there really is virtually zero chance of overturning it.

Messi won't sit the return out, they've won their league and as stated one away goal anytime in the 90 makes a herculean task even more impossible.

I can understand our fans being ultra cautious given past history but you have to see things for what they are, this Barca side with Messi are not throwing the game, its no repeat of Istanbul or Roma with their absolutely crucial away goal.

It's done, it's all over.

Yep the clean sheet was massive. Barca are basically one goal away from the final now

An early goal will knock the absolute stuffing out of the rs

Make it so Suarez
