You've made a great point. But a game of this magnitude, Spurs need to show more than this.

Some will be tempted by the 2 to 3 times wage increases they can get elsewhere. Others will be tempted by playing for clubs even more prestigious than Ajax are. That has already happened with De Jong and at a minimum De Ligt seems to have a similar future. Plus Ajax themselves will be tempted by the obscene money in the offers they figure to receive.

Unfortunately the current make up of football means that there are only about 10 clubs absolute max that can build a team and keep it together if it succeeds. That might even be too high a number.

Not Spurs-related, but Tommy Robinson/SYL posed for a photo with Ederson and claimed that Ederson supported him. Ederson responded by saying that he had no idea who SYL was until people told him, and that he didn't agree with his views. Own goal.

The little berk has a habit of doing this, posing with celebrities and then claiming they support him when they genuinely have no idea who he is.
