And none of those teams ever improve above that level, whereas in Europe the worser nations are continually improving precisely because they're allowed to mix it with the better teams

Let's be honest, teams like San Marino never improve and never will. I agree with your statement, because, well Wales were often whipping boys too, although not to the same degree. But San Marino time waste when they're losing, because a victory for them is not losing by 4 or 5.

I like them, but they're way too amateur to be playing international footy.

I see some England fans had their flags nicked over on Montenegro. Leaving aside the fact that it's proper cringe that allegedly grown adults thinks it's cool to go around stealing flags and trying to play hooligan in 2019 it's also worth noting that it was Fulham fans they nicked it off, I wonder how that conversation went!
