Not on BT? Thought they had the rights.

For some reason BT have been really selective with the qualifier games, they showed Slippy's first Rangers game in the first round, the second leg of Burney/Aberdeen in the second, nothing from any British club AFAIK in the last round and nothing tonight. They didn't show any CL games till this week either I believe

Burnley will never get to Europe again, so why should they throw it? They've got to fancy themselves to finish at least 17th even with concentrating on Europe.

I do love how everyone banged on about how Everton's Europa League campaign last season was "the worst performance by and English side in Europe"

At least we made the sodding group stages!

West ham and saints didn't even make it to the groups and I don't think Burnley are either. Is it an indication of how poor the prem is outside the top 7?

Welcome to English teams in Europe. Bent referees can’t wait to get our teams out of the europa. Absolute pain in the butt tournament played by scummy hacks that have no respect for any ideas of common decency. Well out of it. Champions league or nothing.

Dyche has this right with all the changes, getting out of this comp is so important, just hope if we get stuck in it next season Silva dosent take it serious

Such defeatist attitude never served any purpose, it is possible to compete on both fronts. Moyes didn't do a bad job of it back in the day, a few less games as the group stages were a slightly different format but still extra Thursday games to try and disrupt domestic form.

If Dyche purposely put out a team to lose (which I very much doubt) then I would be fuming as a fan paying all the money to go and watch them. I hope if Silva doesn't take it seriously (again, which I doubt) he tells the fans so they can stay at home and not waste money following the team abroad.

We want to be competing at the highest level, where we are at against other teams the most likely route is to qualify for the Europa league and build on the relative success. We could however, just be defeatist and if we are nowhere near the top 4 then we should just get a few defeats in the league and make sure we finish 8th, also get beat on Wednesday, we can't be doing with the extra games a cup run brings with the end being a place in the Europa League, hopefully as an added bonus we don't even try in the FA cup.

West Ham made sure they didnt and looking at the team picks from Dyche im guesing they did the same, these managers aint stupid, unlike Koeman who got us out of the group

I recognise a cunning plan when I see one. If it wasn't for the fact that there are 8 more games in the Championship it would be worth getting relegated.
