I must admit nowt depresses me more about our current travails nor fills me with envy more than watching the swagger and style Spurs play with these days.

It seems only yesterday we looked better placed than them to step up into the elite

Go on Spurs

Like the old days this when I'd actively root for the English side in a European tie (one notable team aside)
Why though? Don’t understand why any Everton fan would like to see another team succeed where we haven’t. Doesn’t make sense. I’d rather a foreign team won it than an English team, further pulling away from a place we want to be in.

I guess I don't begrudge other people happiness at the end of the day

It helps the coefficient as well, which does in turn help Everton in a roundabout sort of way

It helps that Spurs play great football too

Spurs aren't RS, United, City or any other English club. They're a well ran club who hardly spent and should be a model for Everton. What's wrong with wanting them to succeed? Maybe our board will take notice.

Or they'll consolidate themselves as another Utd, RS. those elite clubs you mentioned started off from somewhere just like Spurs are now.

Very odd indeed.

One team’s fans will be unhappy after a tie, I’d rather it be the English fans.

They’re our league rivals and would get huge money and prestige for doing well in this.

I don’t care about the coefficient. If we’re good enough, then that’s something we don’t need to think about.

jesus christ, just seen that pen decision. Video tech could have been brought in years ago, but yet they decided on these stupid officials behind the goal instead. How are they still in use? What a waste of money, nobody has ever said anything good about them. I don't see how anyone could think they were a good idea.

Why would you want Spurs to have a European Cup before we have one? You’re an Everton fan wanting another English team to have success. Crazy.

I quite like English teams doing well in Europe, other than one, obvs. The achievement of winning the CL is way too far over rated anyrate. As in, its a cup competion, so luck of the draw etc etc. Having a stronger PL and us being good in it is way better than a weak league and us being good in it.
