For all their attacking flair I just cannot warm to either Mansoor era City or their current manager.

IMO they are pretty soulless.

But.

City are the bulwark without which we would have faced a miserable summer in this town back in 2014 and without them we would be staring right down the barrel of another one this year.

I hate City and dont consider them a big club at all, just a rich one, however this is true, right now if it wasnt for City they would be a title contender and the media love in with Klopp would be even more sickly then it allready is, but as it stands they have about as much chance of winning it as we do!!

Except that money is an object and City operate withing the same FFP rules as everyone else. Otherwise we would have signed Pogba, Sanchez, and Mahrez, but we pulled out because of the sums involved.
Yes we had heavy investment, but the club have grown exponentially since them and after the initial heavy investment we now run at a profit.
We operate well within our means and before you start throwing out accusations of dodgy sponsorships, have a look at who is sponsoring Finch Farm.

Personally I'd prefer if we could win more than one title by sheer blind luck and then never have a chance again. Granted never winning it is worse but I hope that one day it'll be competitive with upward and downward mobility again
