Koller was a really decent stand in keeper. Really liked Koller.

Striker-keeper swaps with defensive mid player to try get something back. Ref gives away ridiculous penalty after one of the best slide tackles I've ever seen. 2-0 Strasbourg with 10 mins left. Game over.

Refereeing standards in French football are very average again so far this season.

Rest of the law? That's in the bit i quoted, as was the fact that the Watford scorers left leg was closer to the goal than the ball and 2 liverpool defenders, therefor offside.



No it doesn't. Probably 99% of the time it does work out that way that the ball is played forward to an offside player in general play. But it's still possible for a ball to be played backward and a player to be offside, direction of the ball is not mentioned in the law.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree on this one mate. As far as I'm concerned you can only be given offside if a ball is played forward.
