Player Valuation: £40m
Very impressed with our lad Dowell. Looks like a young Gareth Barry (when he was at his best for us). Strong, wasn't knocked off the ball. Calm under pressure, never flustered. Made good, first-time, passes. He would be a perfect fit as a defensive central midfielder, and then Schneiderlin can be consigned to history.

Sad thing is that Arsenal's demise means that there is one less team capable of stopping the RS of getting silverware.

We haven't seen him in that position yet, so you really can't say for sure. Everything about what I saw today indicates that that is a role he could become very adept at.
I do think they'll be bothered while Wenger and the board (Hmm... Emirates Cup and an Emirates sponsored club) certainly will be I'd expect.
The problem is that as a manager he showed very little respect for the competition by believing that he would walk it with a make-shift team.
Therefore, while the team had some relative quality in its ranks, there was no cohesion or experience of playing together - it was so obvious!

I see that Wesley Sneijder has chased the money and signed for a club in Qatar. Remember when we were meant to be in for him before the start of last season?.. lol

Arsenal are even less reliable against the RS than we were. That game at the Emirates should have been 0-4 at half time, and even when they somehow got it to 3-2 they were about as defensively stable as a wall of damp Trumps.
Great move to win Celta Vigo that pen (that they botched)...can't even remember the last time I saw that from an Everton side.

That 18 year-old front man of Forest looked good today. Strong, held the ball up well, distributed well, just needed to be a little sharper with his half-chances. Made Calvert-Lewin look distinctly average in comparison.
