Any of you guys see the u17 1/4 final between Ireland and Holland? One of the biggest disgraces in history. 4 4 on pens and Dutch have pen to win it, Irish keeper saves it and ref says he moved early so it's a retake and he books him for moving, he's been booked already so he sends him off. Pen is scored 2nd time round with Irish centre half in goal

Shocking decision. By the letter of the law should have been retaken. Poor lad was distraught, after making an excellent save. Ref has a lot to answer for.

Whatever about the retake and IMHO his foot is still on the line when the ball is kicked, to send off a 16 yr old for saving a pen is an absolute scandal. I don't have much time for conspiracy theories but its hard not to think somebody didn't want little old ireland knocking out the so called "best team in the tournament". I never get worked up over that stuff but I'm genuinely angry here, Colin O Brien is a super coach and a guy I know and he deserves much better then that as do those kids

The Irish keeper saved it. Common sense has to previal. Never seen a keeper booked for moving off his line at a peno.

I thought moving off the line is a yellow card. I think they decided it somewhere in 2016, same if you do an incorrect run up: also yellow.

Excatcly. Imaging going from the high of saving a penalty, to been sent off in the space of seconds. Have to feel for him.

He warned the Dutch keeper twice but didn't book him and then first time up he sends the Irish keeper off. These are 16 yr old kids, show some common sense ffs

He's gonna be a disgusting player, Hope he chooses his next club carefully aka not Chelsea or United.

Football sucks, all these good players you only see at a poor team for two years before they get picked off. Just makes the whole sport a crap spectacle now.

seems like a very harsh call, the dutch keeper did the exact same thing for his save and no punishment

Oh in that case he also should have booked the Dutch keeper (without warning). Haven't seen the game btw. Quite unfair this.

It's to avoid situations like this:
