He was RS but he was a quality defender. No argument there.

before it's even started as well. Like i said it would, i never understood people saying it will just make the gap bigger. These teams spends nigh on £50m-£60m+ every summer. Whilst others were spending £10m-£15m. a £90m --> £40m i only saw as a possibility to make the competition better.

You know have teams who have players that you think are well beyond their team's level and have more chance of holding onto them

e.g. Payet at WHU, Cabaye at palace, Mahrez at Leicester, Wijnaldum at Newcastle, Shaqiri at Stoke

Never could stand Hansen but tbf, his remark was and still is generally true. He happened to make it about one of those once in a lifetime groups who truly deserved the expression 'Golden Generation'. No sympathy with the nob but the concept itself tends to get laughed at ever since he said it. However it's a bit like saying 'there's no way that 100-1 shot will win this race'.
