nearly every game they have this stat. i always thought it was some BBC conspiracy because when you watch MOTD highlights they barely have any shots. they just run out of ideas with their 1 billion pound strikerforce and just shoot from anywhere. You'd think that shot tally would come down after mr. ego left.

i do get your point though, if they sacked him and got someone competent in they'd have been seriously challenging last few seasons. His stubbornness to go out and spend big on a top striker and centre back is astonishing. Look how long it took him to properly get that keeper that the media banged on about for 10 years. Their transfer budget almost certainly wasn't just £10m!

it's just a liverpool thing really. They get battered a lot in games, but because they shoot from anywhere the stats always make it look like an evenish contest.
