Everton are said to be interested in French youngster Brahim Konate, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Blues are lining up a January move for the 19-year-old.

The Frenchman has impressed in Ligue Two so far this season with a string of impressive displays for Auxurre.

Roberto Martinez is said to want to move quickly in order to see off interest from Lyon and Brighton for the youngster.

Another highly rated young player Everton have been linked with is 18-year-old Breel Embolo.

The Swiss youngster is being watched by a whole host of top European clubs and his displays this season for Basel are said to have caught the eye of Everton scouts.

Wolfsburg have already had a big rejected for the forward, and Spurs were said to be another spurned suitor in the summer.

The teenager has scored 25 goals in 64 appearances for Basel so far and has also registered 15 assists for the Swiss club.

Embolo has five caps for Switzerland.
