To be fair, based on his form at the tail end of last season and the start of this he's deserved it. I mean what Danny Inge has done to get s call up I have no idea, but England aren't exactly blessed with a good talent pool of strikers atm.

I agree entirely, it is just that I found it hilarious that you have a load of players playing technical, neat, precise but dull football that goes largely nowhere - and then someone with Conference experience finds that it is possible to set a goal up by running at the opposition.

thankfully i didn't watch because england bore me to death. they have a few exciting youngsters and could be a really exciting attacking team to watch. can't really blame hodgson because i think he's done a very good job, especially these qualifiers. but my god, when you're playing a henderson or milner against teams like estonia and san marino you're going to be very dull

Nah. Walcott should have been through the middle.

Vardy is excellent to bring on against a tiring defence.

Holland turning up for once, although qualification is now dependent on Turkey dropping points. Part of me thinks it would be good to miss a major tournament just to cause a bit of upheaval and clear out some of the dead wood, but France 2016 is really going to be awful with no Oranje.
