Holland do have the odd qualification blip every 10 years or so though

And after slogging through all these countries you STILL don't even get to qualify for the World Cup and have to play someone in South America first over two legs

It's just a friendly Mikey, we don't even get to play teams of this standard during our qualifying lollol.
South America is a bum job, will be lucky not to get hammered.

I've had this argument before, but I think FIFA should take a slot from either South America or UEFA and give it to Oceania so that the winner of the Oceania block goes straight to the finals

Yes, it will mean a few tournaments where New Zealand qualify with some ease, but it will also encourage the other sides to get better. It's a tangible reward for winning the block, that isn't just a two legged elimination clash with a team from a different continent

At the end of the day, It's called the WORLD Cup, and for that reason every continent should have a team in the last 32 IMO

I'd just be happy to see an Oceania and Asia merge. Might actually get to play some decent sides and regular competitive football and would improve as a result. 2 friendlys a year and games vs Oceania countries do nothing at all for improvement.
