Oh no mate, you misunderstood. I don't want him injured. In fact I really want him there. It'd just be funny to Wales in a tournament without him.

Here's one for you. Is Bale better than Giggs was?

without a shadow. for wales it's not even a debate anyway. will have to assess them at the end of their careers regarding club careers, but i never liked giggs' character. bale has more to his game imo and well most expensive player in history + being a success in spain (despite this bad patch atm) - would giggs have done that?

Whilst bale is very important no doubt, this is a team that achieved 2 clean sheets against a very good free scoring belgium side when he wasn't quite at his best so demolished is hardly the right word to use

i think 5 clean sheets in 7 games is pretty fantastic - this group is no gimme, especially as we were 4th seeds when you see our back 5 is made up of championship players and lower league pre stuff - to block belgium out for 180 mins and take 4 points was brilliant. any team in world football would be proud of that.

we've just worked great as a team and had bale to score the chances, but only 2 goals conceded so far (albeit against the two worst in the group) and no goals conceded in 11 months is pretty damn impressive regardless of what tactics you employ. 5 or 6 years back i was resigned to the fact that i was almost certain wales would never do anything in my lifetime.

got my ticket for sunday so just hoping we can get it done then.

Well played sir. Wales have been great it has to be said. I do love seeing Bale do well too.

Probably watching Germany Vs Poland tonight actually

Should be a gooden

That or I'll watch Georgia Vs Scotland just for the fact of how close Scotland are to making it and they're usually good value for a freak result. Anyone who recalls their mishap with the Faroe Islands can attest to that

Georgia is always a tough away fixture as well

They are one of those teams who aren't particularly great but who aren't overly bad either. They're meerly below average, but still good enough to cause an upset, especially on home soil

I remember how Italy went there during France 98 qualification and could only manage a draw. That was the result that turned that group to be honest. England going there and getting a serviceable 2-0 win ended up being essential in the long run

Just in from work and perfect timing for the Scotland game, think it will be harder than some think. Would have liked McCarthur in the first 11 but good to see were going out to win.

This is beyond woeful, Scotland need someone who can pick a pass and dictate the game, Fletcher or McCarthur have to come on soon, Maloney's doing a belting job of the invisible man.
