To be honest outside of Kilmarnock I don't really keep up with it now. When I was younger I could easily name every player in the SPL now outside of Celtic, Kilmarnock and maybe Aberdeen I couldn't list a teams first eleven. Scottish fitba's total garbage these days.
P.S Congrats @ToffeeHibs on reaching the CIS cup final, you'll still bottle the final in typical Hibs fashion though.
For that reason, Aberdeen winning the Scottish Premiership would be more of an upset than Leicester winning the English Premiership
I await your response
Your argument is literally that because the quality is worse the upset is greater?
No
My argument is that Celtic have the dice weighted far more in their favour than Arsenal and Man City do
But Celtic also aren't as good. They don't have as good players, they don't have as good a manager and they spend less relatively to aberdeen than city do relative to leicester.
An upset at the top level is always more impressive than one at a lower level because there's less flaws to exploit.
Also again Aberdeen finished 2nd last year, they just need one team to slip up. Leicester came 14th, they needed 13 teams all of whom with bigger budgets and better pleyers to slip up.
Aberdeen winning the league, which they won't, would be a fine achievment. But better than wigan winning the fa cup, better than greece winning euro 2004, better than atletico beating messi's barca and ronaldo's real to a league title, better than porto winning the cl, better than montpelleir beating a psg team with a budget 30 times it to the french league? Obviously not.
It would be better than all of those
Greece won in knock out football over a mere 6 games
Aberdeen while have to do it over a full season
The others were all better teams than Aberdeen are right now
Meanwhile, Celtic have Leigh Griffiths slotting for fun, Craig Gordon between the sticks and a midfield consisting of great young talents such as GMS and Scott Allan, along with sturdy warhorse Scott Brown overseeing everything as captain
Aberdeen pulling this off would be an incredible upset, and my pick for biggest upset of all time
I just... are you trolling me?
Is this a 4 year long con where you say this stuff and inside you're laughing at me for taking the bait?
Also, Porto had Jose Mourinho as manager, Madrid Athletic had a good squad, Wigan had a soft semi final draw with Millwall and the benefit of us falling to pieces at Goodison
Leicester have Vardy and Mahrez
Aberdeen have no one close to either of them in their squad

Leicester are in the mainstay just simply playing quick, direct football and it's undermined the concept of intrinsic, possessive being the only way.PL winner might end on 75 points this year. That's less a case of Leicester winning it and more everyone else bottling it.
