Quite like that Stoke are throwing Crouch on as they know Mignolet and his back four are awful in the air and at set pieces.

For all his lankiness, I've never rated crouch in the air.
Hibbert had him in his arse pocket aerially when he played centre-half against crouch (when he was at spurs) a few years back.
