After a very entertaining first half the first 23 minutes of the second half have been fairly brutal viewing.

Shane Long brings serious pace to an attack.
Totally unnerves players.

He's an enigma of a player for me. For whatever reason he's transferred from club to club and has struggled to hold a place down in the first XI.

His goal to game ratio is on paper not that spectacular either averaging approx 1 in 4. Yet when you see him play he seems to unnerve defences.

Often pops up with important goals as well, including the occasional screamer due to his talent. I'd have him here as a reserve striker no doubt.

Well...... no vaulting here but I have admired Long's attitude and tenacity for a few years (he's also from Tipperary as is my wife!!)

He is already and will be a huge part of the Ireland team.

When he was available, the attitude on here seemed to be no way so I kept schtum as it would be greedy to look for us to sign another Irish player.

Fact is that this lad is at least as good as Naisy but with loads of playing style and fabulous touch

Always like Forest and hated the dirty thievin white guts, I was thrilled when we beat them to the league in 69-70. A walkover it was

In order to get 4th we probably need about 13-14 more wins. Cant see that happening.

14 wins out of 19 games for top 4? this division is terrible, if we did that i reckon we'd probably win the title.
