Martinez has some of his attributes especially with using the youth and football is becoming attractive. Effective though? Unfortunately not.

I was brought up on the fact that if you do not concede in a game then you cannot lose; very simple to understand. You can then use that to win.

Pochettino as you mention has built a very strong defence around Walker, Rose, Alderweireld and Vertonghen, which makes winning easier.

We just don't seem to mind if we concede as long as we score more than them. Our problem is that we do not...

And if jags hadn't got injured, our defence would have been strong(er) too as Stones needs him alongside rather than Fumes plus throwing in a firing Coleman and a fit Baines and we can match them ok.
Personally I don't see a great deal of difference between us & the Spuds. Next game will demonstrate that (perhaps )

Agree with Lloris. Superb keeper IMO. EFC should push the boat for Butland in the summer as I like what I see of him.
Spurs are not getting injuries to key players (eg Jags) which ALWAYS helps ........ such a shame that it looks like Kompany will miss the League Cup date
