....but neither of those were as good. Lineker and Greaves were out and out goal scorers, Charlton wasn't so don't compare the ratio compare the talent. Charlton was a truly top player and deserves all the accolades he gets.

how has clyne played? how he hasn't been played before now ahead of johnson is baffling.
But, both Lineker and Greaves were denied the chance to continue their scoring feats for England and that was wrong, totally wrong. JG was denied the chance to play in the 66 World Cup and Lineker getting dropped from the ?England team when he was was nothing short of criminal.
Charlton was a very good player I'll agree, but far from the deity he is/was made out to be. He benefits from having had a long career.
