Money really is no object for Man United. I really think that if Van Gaal says he needs 1 or 2 players and promises success, Woodward will free up the funds. That Swansea defeat will have worried them

United really need 3/4 top class players,so far none of the targets they have been linked with seem to be interested in joining them,plus the fear factor seems to have gone from Old Trafford
I only caught the highlights of the RS game but they seemed average and Soton could have been 3-1 up at one stage,I'd say there are a top 7 group of teams led by City and Chelsea,then 3/4 that will be comfortable followed by a fair few teams looking to pick points off each other to survive
Liverpool will be in there I think
Arsenal will eventually collapse before finding their nerve and finishing 4th, like they always do, so 3rd is realistically up for grabs and I can see either United or Liverpool taking it

I honestly don't know Mikey I think top two is nailed on between City/Chelsea after that I would say IF Arsenal can avoid any major injuries they might make it a 3 way battle,so I think it leaves one CL place up for grabs,with four teams fighting that out
I have no faith in Arsenal maintaining a challenge anywhere past March

yep, match abandoned because of too many injuries wouldn't be the worst thing.
not that we shouldn't say "we want to beat their best team" or anything
I think Arsenal will get through. They seem far better prepared than they were for the play off last season and they made it then
the cynic in me wants to see Arsenal be eliminated, but the rational Everton fan wants Arsenal to have to play as many matches as possible this season
i might be the only one but I would have liked Ba as 2nd striker.
