Neville won the ball though. The keeper in that situation didn't even get close.

Very true, but that wasn't the point I was making.

There wasn't enough contact to bring him down, it was even his trailing leg he caught while his front leg buckled for him to drop to the floor, it was an attempt to fool the ref hence a yellow card.

If yellow cards are to be handed out every time a player tries to fool the ref there wouldd be one every time a ball goes out for a throw in, because both teams appeal but somebody is lying.

The keeper made noticeable contact with Costa's leg, at high speed it doesn't take much to trip somebody or even impede a player's run enough to count as a foul.

Oliver failed big time, if it wasn't a penalty okay, but it certainly shouldn't have been a yellow.

Claiming a throw-in isn't the same as trying to create both a goalscoring opportunity from the penalty spot and getting a player sent off in the process is it?

He caught his back leg, but his front leg was already up and over, stands to reason he could have landed his front leg - if there was enough contact by the keeper it would have shifted his rear leg throwing him off-balance? He dropped to the floor by not landing his front leg therefore exaggerating the foul. Hence a dive, hence the yellow card.

Obviously his reputation proceeds him as he was a dirty snide cheat at Atletico too.

I wanna go home,
I wanna go home,
Burnley's a sh*thole,
I wanna go home

Did I hear that right? Funny, but really arrogant. Makes me dislike Chelsea even more

chelsea showing how you beat a recently promoted club on the first day of the season away from home.....

knew someone would say this. jesus mate. nearly every one of their players costs £20m, we had to pay £28m to get their backup striker and currently have a winger on loan from them when he's never even played a game.
