Nice goal slippy

Shame about the:
- slip against Chelsea
- crystanbul
- perfect through ball to suarez (but you were in an England shirt at the time)
- 30 second red card vs united
- guard of honor for the team that destroyed your last chance for the premier league title

I'd love Gerrard to come out 2nd half and get a red card, missing the last 2 games of the season and his send off.

Think that would top his slip. 17 years as their icon, legend and leader; his final hooray is an embarrassed wave and passing over the armband trudging off.

That goal for slippy sums up Cahill, average defender in a world class team. No surprise Zouma goes off, Cahill comes on, they concede.

You know the FA would revoke it and Mariner would be publicly condemned by all the media for the rest of his career.

i honestly think rodgers knows that if he didn't let him finish his career on the pitch he would have been sacked. with gerrard out they were making a genuine attempt for top 4. as soon as he came back the wheels fell off again. pretty sure rodgers would have loved to just let him stay out injured, but can you imagine the uproar from the fans if that had happened and he didn't get to finish his career properly - even if they did get top 4.

he's doing what he can to keep his job.
