Has he done that much wrong? He's just a player who's been in he unfortunate position of being behind Van Persie and Rooney and Welbeck in managers plans and not having a great deal of time to impress, I always thought. Seems an odd move from Madrid though.

Yes, he hasn't delivered when we've given him the chance when starting a match. He's alright as super sub but he's said himself that he expects to starts games.
His all round game is very poor. He's a fox-in-the-box, a finisher. He's fine for bringing on for the last 10 minutes when you need a goal - but he wants more than that.
He's been on the decline for a while now.
Thought that was in, wish it had been.

He looks like he'd only ever work as one of a two and I not sure he's quite good enough to start at a top 6/7 team. If he's moving for game time, why is he going to Madrid though?

he is beyond dreadful, looks like he first played football this morning, if wenger doesnt buy a striker he is insane. I actually think giroud is pretty under rated in this country, but with him out their remaining options are pure tosh
