Straight away without even thinking Everton 3 Chelsea 6 springs to mind. That wasn't a great game?

Tottenham 5 Chelsea 3 was another good game. Without even thinking. You have a point about europe, give you that, but i think thats more to do with the demands of the english domestic season (another debate altogether).

I think its been a poor showing from the prem this season.

I mentioned two off the top of my head. The Everton defeat was a great game for a neutral, of course it was. The premier League is considered the best in the world for its excitement and entertainment, not necessarily the attractive football

Again, just because the premier League has a 7 point gap at the top with 7 games left, doesn't mean it can be mentioned in the same breath as the Italian league where juventus run out 1-0 winners each week. Same can be said about la Liga, where you have the two usual suspects being so dominant, that on a betting slip they are 2/1 to score 4 or more goals each week. Zzzzzzzzzz.

This season has been a dud because we were done months ago and it lessens your interest in the other games. An example is that if we were currently placed where we all thought we'd be ( around CL placing) then that City game last night would of been exciting for us to watch, our interest is there. Instead NEA...

In that case, the FA Cup of 95 is the only thing we have ever won, which trumps the "record points season".

Could argue the world cup has had an effect on the league, all the top teams started slowly too.
