Absolutely typical this season. Compared to last when the league top 4 went down to the last couple of game.

Now with 7 to go - Chelsea have won it. The RS and Spurs need United/City/Arse to crumble to get in the top 4.

Not happening. Its over. 2nd and 4th to scrap who finishes on top.

Some bad sides in it

Honestly mate, im not, I would sack him, hes failed to even come close to winning a thing, its not like they competed in any competition they entered, hes highly paid to succeed, he has vast resources, no excuses to fail in everything.

Agree with this completely. I think he's definitely gone in the summer, if not before.

He should be gone, but I have a feeling that Sheikh Mansour will give him one more season or risk being seen as nowt but a hire 'em, fire 'em merchant.

Not a risk given the finances - he has high expectations, if you can't meet them, you're not the winner you want, out you go.

It's a bit different to, say, Tottenham, where anything from 4th to 8th is expected. At City, it's 1st, or 2nd at a push, and given the money they have so it should be.

Outside of Martinez and arguably Rodgers, Pellegrini has been the most underperforming manager this season.

Would anyone here honestly say he should have been sacked after that?
The situations are not one and the same, therefore applying the logic from one and simply transferring to another is naive.

Citeh undoubtedly need Champions League football (and possibly PL success as well) to balance their heavily uneven financial situation.

When you consider how much they've invested in their squad, to be as lacklustre as they've been just will not be acceptable.

He has already came out and mentioned that they need to spend more significant amount of cash to compete. Do they trust him to do that?

Football in Kendall's day was much simpler; decisions were less knee-jerk or heavily weighted on finance and global image.

Again, Kendall was a Norman Whiteside wonder goal away from the treble in 84/85 but won nothing in 85/86

Would anyone here honestly say he should have been sacked after that?

You cannot seriously compare HK 1986, the manager of a still improving Everton team who missed out on honours due to a combination of bad luck, Gary Lineker's boots, and the RS pact with the devil, with 2015 Pellegrini who has spent zillions on the best players on the planet but who don't look the slightest bit arsed about defending their title ? Surely not.

Yeah dead boring. If Leicester win their next game, 4 points will seperate the bottom 6 clubs with 7 games left.

What is the best league in the world, in your opinion ?

One where finding who the worst side in the league is, isn't the only thing of interest.

People complain that the Spanish, Italian, German, etc leagues are poor compared to ours because the same sides aces their leagues with 10 games to go.
