He didn't, no contact with Gerrard as he pulled in his legs. But can see how without a replay you might think he did and believe he was slightly late. At least the ref saw the stamp.

Not got the highest opinion of Gerrard but would really hope his two tackles (Mata then Hererra) weren't as premeditated as to target the two players who had got the first goal. Don't think they were tbh, think he was just mad he hadn't been a starter in his last game vs Utd and wanted to be the hero.

Very impressed you can maintain marital harmony despite you both liking rival teams mate.

My husband was frankly lucky to escape with his nads intact when last season he said " Might be nice for Liverpool to win the league" and he doesn't even follow the sport
