....really surprised Delph signed a new contract at Villa. I'm sure it's a very attractive package for the player but he could've got brewsters signing on a Bosman for a top side.

Good on him, I say, for staying loyal to a club that have been loyal to him. That's really good to see and must be a real boost for everybody at Villa.

Yesterday was a good laugh,if you ignore the trek across London when St Pancras stopped running Brighton trains.

The match was more comfortable for once than it looked like on the telly highlights,we started well and then relaxed a bit but stepped it up when they scored twice. I'm convinced Szczesny went to ground to easily for their 2nd but all in all they were good goals so can't complain too much.

Nice to see Theo score and hope Ozil brings Sanchez style work ethic to his game because he has is undoubtedly a classy player.

Rosicky, talk about a revival, the last 2 years have seen him becoming the 'little Mozart' that we signed 9yrs ago. Hard to believe him and Walcott will be eligible for testimonials soon.

Glad to avoid "the magic of the cup" and hope we get a decent draw tonight.

Seriously? When did you sign him?

Edit: just googled, he was signed in 2006. Crazy that a 26/27 year old will be eligible for a testimonial at a club he didn't come through the ranks at.

rosicky's improvement has been very odd, seems to be in the form of his life, had been getting worse for a few seasons on the trot - suppose it helps he doesn't play all the time

all we hear from the media is teams showing disprespect to the competition by fielding weakened teams, yet the FA/BBC go and host the draw on a show with no relevance to the sport
