Van Dijk is so obviously the jewel in the crown of this Celtic team. He'll be gone if they dont get through here tonight.

McGregor is probably the pick of the rest of the Celtic team. Nowhere near good enough for us, but would do well in a bottom half PL team.

I'm with @polish here

Very weak Celtic side

Their board has a lot to answer for. They've not so much rested on their laurels as grounded them to dust with their buttocks

They made the conscious business decision to run the team down due to Rangers not being around. They knew they could win the SPL anyway.

I suspect as Rangers come back up into the SPL Celtic will get better.

The scottish league is never going to be able to attract better players than it gets now.

Once a league gets in that downward cycle where there's no money and no interest it's very hard to get it out of it.

What is an MK Don again?

It's a type of Gremlin that lives in a Football League-less city, and waits for your team bus to drive over it's bridge, at which point it puts its clothes on you and calls you his. I've only ever seen two;

It's been that way for years, but they still maintained a decent standard (top two anyway)

It's been steadily getting worse, though.

The days when Rangers and Celtic were competitive in europe and sold players to top champions league clubs (larsson to barca, van bronckhorst to arsenal etc) were only 5-10 years ago.

Now they sell their players to southampton and forest.

I disagree mate

Remember the Dundee United end in the Cup Final? There's enough non Old Firm support in Scotland that the game there is not finished. The gains sides like United have made will need to be continued though

If Ranger's come back and it's "Business as Usual", then you may be right

You're right, scottish football is declining really fast. In a season Rangers went to administration they were knocked out of Europe by mighty Malmoe (CL quals) and... Maribor.
