hmm all this diving for free kicks (van Persie) and penalties (2 against us in the past few weeks resulting in 1-0 losses) get right up my nose. They really should change the rules to eliminate the penalty for the slightest contact as the attacker is always going to go down.

Fair enough, there are plenty of weeks they pick up their money for doing bugger all.

I was thinking as much of the overkill aspect, fans being expected to shell out for tickets, travel costs etc. It will get to the FA Cup (long) weekend and the grounds will be half empty due to fans being spent out and knowing that weakened teams will be put out as a result of the current glut of league games leaving the players tired and injured.
