Knew we would play with pace as soon as I found out Ramsey was injured....long may he be out. I think we can do Liverpool next week but singing Wenger's name because we beat a very very poor Newcastle team at home...is this what it has come down to? They can do one. He should be judged on how we perform against the big teams. They should be ashamed of themselves, such a tiny club mentality.

leicester 5 pts from safety. what happened to that great team they looked like in first couple of months?
I was there today. Absolutely no cutting edge and not even very dangerous from set pieces. Man City not all that but never broke sweat. Just did enough. Couple of good chances first half for LC might have been a different story but they have a lot to do.

Blimey!

Sorry about that lol But that singing at the end basically ruined the match for me, he shouldn't be having that level of support. Thank God I wasn't there today, I wouldn't be able to bear hearing it haha Not taking anything away from the players though, nice to watch and quick one touch passes. This is the Arsenal I know. Let's see if we can replicate it at Anfield, destroy their top 4 ambitions completely.

Pretty sure you will.

It's the Arsenal you know because that's what Wenger has instilled in the club you silly [Poor language removed]

Rubbish! Every half-decent manager has caught up with Wenger's tactics and surpassed him, he's been left behind! Just 1 clear example this season:

Wenger takes Arsenal away to Dortmund in a difficult fixture, stubbornly decides he wants to dominate the game, we get hit on the attack twice bang bang, we lose 2-0.

Martinez takes Everton away to Wolfsburg in a difficult fixture, appreciates the difficulty of the game and instead of trying to dominate the play, soaks up the pressure and hits Wolfsburg on the counter twice bang bang and wins 2-0.

THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DINOSAUR AND A MODERN TACTICIAN

Some on here say that about us this season.

Mate you guys have a young manager who is learning and adapting. We have an old man who is never going to change, he's as stale as managers can possibly get. If a manager could ever have an expiry date he's gone way beyond his...we need to freshen things up fast before our best players lose all belief like all the previous ones did. You think Sanchez will be here when he finds out 4th is a trophy for Wenger? Please. Either the manager goes or our best players leave. So far, the manager has always stayed put at the expense of our best players. It just can't continue like this.

Never really looked at it like that tbh. Sounds like the same, or similar, situation we had with Moyes in a way. Done a great job for some, lowered expectations for others.

Your unpartisan opinion on Martinez is what then? Just interested. No agenda or anything

No offence but when you guys had Moyes, it was like "Yes, we have Everton up next", now it's like "Crap....we have Everton up next". That's the difference a change in ideas and management can bring. We have become cannon fodder for the big teams now, especially in the Champions League. Big teams just can't wait to face us, you can sense Atletico Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Real Madrid all licking their lips. Would they have this attitude just 4 years ago? Heck no. But not anymore, we have declined and imo we still haven't arrested the decline, we are worse every year that passes and maybe...just maybe....might not even be a top 4 team soon.

Interesting that. Still think you will be top 4. Unless someone like us puts a really decent run together.
