yep. i think if they had european commintments they would be struggling badly. but they're being clinical and despite shippung chances galore and getting dominated, their keeper is saving them all the points. swap howard with de gea and we're 3rd by a mile, even with all the injured and poor form.

that was the better of the two possible winners for us though imo. we're too poor with europe to concentrate on to catch united. soton are much more in our grasp.

I sort of agree. TBF Soton have only really stumbled once Schneiderlin got injured and they've got Alderweild out too. When West Ham were without Song in central midfield they've not looked as powerful.

I think West Ham have more attacking options - Zarate's trickery, Carroll's pure strength in the air, Sakho and Valencia playing off each other - there's a multitude of styles they can play which Soton don't seem to be able to - they don't have that 'grit' if that makes sense.

Man u are crap but have clinical strikers, a world class keeper. We need to get a new keeper next summer but Martinez is happy with Howard as we cant afford a world class keeper. Anyway they will make the most of him as he leaving next summer, he going back to spain.
