I didn't watch much last season apart from the prem. But saw quite a few Barça games.
Maybe someone can set me straight but I find it hard to believe there are 10 better players in the world than Pedri.

That's been my take as well, for some time. Media award by 'journalists' says quite a bit in an age where PR rules
Ask players & coaches, you get a more accurate assessment that is in line with most neutral fans
I mean, Vini who won nothing last season and whose stats were inferior to Lewandowski was ranked ahead of him. It's not a reflection of reality but marketing

It's all very predictable to a degree. I don't think they were ever going to continue as they were or improve further, and this is what we'll face if we could ever replicate what they've done with UCL qualification. They have owners there that seemed to be happy to continue investing, but they cannot.
I'm still surprised with this, but have seen plenty of Villa fans calling for Emery to be sacked since the weekend too. They have been very poor this season and it seems to be unravelling quite quickly for them.
It just goes to show that outside of the elite, it's impossible to avoid the glass ceiling and build foundations that are going to last and be competitive at the top end.
Its all nonsense anyway, if your not 1st or at least top 3, what really does it matter..
Why have 30 places, you get relegated for less then that..
