Today’s Football 25/26 Season

The amount of empty seats at the AMEX was shocking. Yes, I know it was midweek, on TV, ticket prices, but it only holds just over 30,000 and it's a fairly prosperous area. Plus the game was for a European place.
I think it's two factors. The main one being chaotic transport. In midweek games its a nightmare getting out of that stadium. I can remember a Brighton fan saying they get home (they lived in Brighton) faster from Wembley than they do from the Amex on a midweek game. The other being that they're quite a small club with no real top flight pedigree. A lot of the fans that go are people from Brighton who have grown up supporting other clubs and now all of a sudden have a top flight club in their area, so it's not the most fervent support at the best of times.

Could do with a favour from this fine gentleman tonight.

I remember checking out that stadium on Google maps thinking how American the whole surrounding area looked. No pubs or neighborhood next to it, just a highway and some parking lots.

They do have a train station though to be fair.
