The idea is to give the small countries a chance to qualify. Sweden were not quite the small country they had in mind...

Japan are my "dark horses" for the World Cup. I see no reason why they can't reach the last eight...at least.

They've been building for years - were two up on Belgium in the last 16 in 2018 and beat Germany and Spain last time round. They are more than a sneaky fancy as far as I am concerned.

Was surprised when they said they were ranked 19th. I thought they were much lower than that, although that possibly was a couple years back.
